World Book Day 2018
Today was World Book Day 2018.
This year we decided not to dress up as our favourite book character but to find our favourite poem and bring it to school to share. We were encouraged to think about where in the world our poem was created and from what culture it may be based. There were also some very topical poems brought into school.
Our children showed confidence, and care in sharing and reading their chosen poems.
Some of our children focused on our school christian values with their poems, and proved to be excellent role models for others.
But the main outcome was our love of poetry and our love of books.
Tomorrow school will welcome Simon Adepetun to our beautiful school to share his book The Beehive
2019 Thoughts
We may like to have a Where's Wally theme for World Book Day 2019. Get planning your outfits now. Imagine a playground full of Where's Wally!
If you have an alternative suggestion , please share it with school staff.
