Autumn Term 2024
Welcome back Falcons!
Our Christian Values
During the Autumn term, our Christian values are friendship, thankfulness, peace and hope.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” Peter 4:8-10
“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing”- Thessalonians 5:11
In Falcons, we all have different strengths and characteristics, and we are going to use them to help support and guide each other through our year in school. We will be there for each and help encourage each other to make the right decisions, along with celebrating for our individual wins.
Our class novel for this half-term is ‘An eagle in the Snow’ by Michael Morpurgo
English
In our first half term we will be using the text 'Star of Fear, Star of Hope' by Jo Hoestlandt to develop our writing skills and end with an independent piece, focusing on writing a story that contains a flashback from another character’s point of view.
In the second half term our text will move to ‘Can we save the tiger?’ written by Martin Jenkins and we will work on a variety of skills and end with a report focusing on an animal.
