We are very lucky to have a dedicated and experienced teaching staff team who have all been at our school for a number of years. They work hard to provide a broad and exciting curriculum,engaging lessons and care beyond the classroom to enable our pupils to ' love,learn,aspire,achieve'

 Mrs Jones is our Headteacher and Mental Health Lead and Safeguarding Lead, she has completed the National Professional Qualification in Leading Behaviour and Culture. She is also our English Lead and is passionate about reading and literacy, she still nips in and out of lessons and is very interested in the quality of our work. She loves celebrating our achievements in class and always offers us encouragement and support. Mrs Jones can usually be found listening to readers in a quiet nook in our school along with Desmond our school dog. Mrs Jones has recently become a SIAMS inspector for Church of England and Methodist schools and supports other church schools in her role as a SIP (school improvement partner).

Mrs Gibson is our school SENDCo ,Assistant Head and also teaches in our Wrens class. She has completed the NPQSL (National Professional Qualification for Senior Leaders) , the NASENCo award and the National Professional Qualification for Leading Behaviour and Culture She leads in the areas of History,Geography,PHSE and RE and is Designated Deputy for Safeguarding alongside her role as our Trauma Informed Lead. She is passionate about the children she teaches and all things SEND.Mrs Gibson leads EYFS and KS1.

Miss Byrne has successfully completed her NPQML (National Professional Qualification in Middle Leadership) and teaches in class 3 with years 5 and 6. She leads PE and computing across the school and works with FAVSP to arrange all our sporting competitions and events.Miss Byrne loves teaching english and RE,organises our collective worship and is adored by her Falcons as they prepare for their next stage of learning.Miss Byrne is our KS2 lead and supports Mrs Jones and Mrs Gibson as part of our leadership team.

Mrs Raynor teaches in Wrens with Mrs Gibson and brings a wealth of experience to our school having taught for many years across all key stages.She leads DT,music and global learning across the school as well as providing Forest School sessions for all our children. Mrs Raynor is dedicated to ensuring our children are the best that they can be and preparing our Wrens for the next stage in their learning.

Mrs Heald is our fabulous ECT (Early Career Teacher) and teaches year 3 and 4 in our Barn Owls .Mrs Heald is an incredible artist and has worked hard to develop our inspiring art curriculum,she puts her BSc degree to good use leading our science curricululm.

 

 

Our team at Kingsley St John's has one mission, regardless of our job description.  We want the very highest and best outcomes for our children.  

We are all God's children.  We all have wonderful thoughts about how our school can develop and we work collaboratively to evalauate and develop our amazing school.

We value the gifts our support staff offer and encourage them to believe in their own light, whilst they have the light so they may become children of light.

We are incredibly lucky at Kingsley St John's to have such a talented, conscientious and experienced team of dedicated teaching assistants to support our children with their learning. As well as their qualifications in teaching, learning and support they bring a wide range of skills to the school, from art and horticulture to dance and D.I.Y.

Mrs Sherlock is our HLTA and also has Early Years Professional status which she puts to good use to assist teaching and learning in our Wrens class. She provides interventions throughout the school using her training in Wellcomm and Elklan to support speech and language. In addition,Mrs Sherlock uses her early reading, phonics and wave 3 maths knowledge to reinforce previous learning with our vulnerable learners throughout the school.

Mrs Armstrong has a Level 3 CACHE qualification in supporting teaching and learning. She is our dyslexia specialist teaching assistant and ensures high quality provision and interventions for those chiildren who need extra support. Mrs Armstrong is also our school ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant ) and has worked hard to develop our 'Nest', a safe and nurturing space for children to develop their self-esteem, self-belief,resilience and be supported with their worries.

Miss Hay is currently studying for a BA in SEND through the University of Chester. She supports our pupils with SEND providing a high level of care and quality practice.Miss Hay is developing our use of the zones of regulation in class 4 and our sensory room.

Mrs Critchley currently works in class 4. She has a wealth of experience in education ,including FE and has a Level 2 cerificate in SEND. She is eager to develop her knowledge and is also commencing Level 2 in Understanding CYP mental health and Challenging behaviour in children.Mrs Critchley leads in  delivering our sensory circuits.

Mrs Worthington has a CACHE Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning. Her calm and quiet manner is ideal in supporting our more vulnerable learners. Mrs Worthington currently works in class 2

Mrs Hudson supports the learning and teaching in class 1  and our EYFS class. She has training in supporting children with autism, Down's syndrome and Makaton signing! This year Mrs Hudson is excited to develop her skills and knowledge of forest school  and she supports Mrs Critchley with our sensory circuit groups.

 

Mr Jones supports the learning in Barn Owls and Wrens.  He is a keen footballer and always finds a way to connect with our KSJ Pupils and encourages them through physical developments and their social and emotional aspects of learning.
