SEASONS

Spring, animals and plants awaken to 

the morning dew, new shoots appear, birds

sing tunefully. Everything awakens from the winter.

Summer, long days, bonfires into the night,

swimming in the rivers, bubbling brooks,

Ice-cream! Good climbing trees, lush, green grass

sunshine, blue-skies, starlings line the sky.

Autumn, the days get shorter and leaves fall

from the aged trees, a gust of windsweeps them

away. Fields get muddy with the falling rain.

Winter, days feel short and dark, icy

snow glistening, it's cold - wrap up warm!

Christmas is coming, card games, hot chocolate, marshmallows, biscuits, toys

for children to play with! Here comes 

the new year, fireworks and count down, guess what?

We start all over again!
